Introduction
Endoscopic video-assisted powered adenoidectomy, commonly known as microdebrider adenoidectomy, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove the adenoids. It employs an endoscope for visualization and a microdebrider, a specialized surgical tool, to precisely and efficiently remove adenoid tissue.
Indications
- Chronic or recurrent adenoiditis (frequent infections).
- Obstructive sleep apnea caused by enlarged adenoids.
- Chronic nasal obstruction or mouth breathing.
